Good or Bad Idea?

I have been in your position as much as I love it I have thought maybe sell to get something else. I am just not in the place to have multiple pieces. I usually get over it though when I really see the beauty and the Sub being an iconic watch.

This might not matter to you but also for me I know no matter what i temp flip I will always want the sub. For me this is why I don’t sell as I bought a couple years ago at a great price. I look at what they go for now. I know after the new piece fad wears off I would buy a sub again for a much higher price.

Teach their own though life is short. If that’s what you want do it.

Is the cyclops mag too low or just the angle of photo?

The mag is VERY low on this one. It used to bother me, but I’m over it. I’ll replace it during the first service.

Both are great watches. After having tried both at my AD, I went with the DJ41. It sits perfectly on my wrist

Probably wisest to add but I wouldn't be against this flip, a bit too much ceramic overload these days, so DJ41 is next for me maybe.

Some people may not like this, but the DJ41 is ridiculously large and thick for a dress watch. It is just a bloated version of a watch designed to be 36mm.

Honestly I think you would be more happy with the Datejust and I know this is said over and over but the Sub will be worth much more in 10 years while the DJ41 will be available for thousands less than retail. They're still new watches so the market prices aren't much lower than retail but this will quickly change over time. If this doesn't matter to you, then by all means go for it.

You have jubilee? If so, you ever find it too dressy?

Oyster bracelet. Though, I wouldn't mind having a jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel to dress it up.

I love my sub and wouldn’t trade it. But that’s me. You feel differently so definetly trade it for what you want
Wear what you like, not what others tell you they would do!!

It’s very very hard to replace a sub. If you could hold out and add the DJ I would do that. It’s a killer combo.

Not a fan of the 6 digits Sub and I find the DJ41 very interesting. However, if like you I thought the 116610LN was perfect, I'd probably keep it. I went through a similar thought with my YM and decided to save up rather than swap.

I flipped my 1 year old subc ND for the DJ41 with fluted bezel, jubilee, and rhodium diamond dial. Sub will likely hold its value better, but, to me, the DJ41's proportions outweigh the sub's versatility and likelihood of holding value.

If you can afford to save up for another time-piece over time, I would say keep the sub and add the DJ41. If not then sell the Sub and get the DJ41 which also has a new movement. If you really want the DJ41 then go for it, at the end of the day, timepieces are our passion and go for the things you really like.

Good luck.

The sub is perfect for any occasion. The new Dj41 is beautiful but the fluted bezel makes it a super dressy watch. You might not feel comfortable wearing it every day. It’s not like the older datejust 36 mm. The new one is a little bigger and a definitely more flashy/in your face. Just my opinion

I’d try to keep the sub and save for the dj41 but if that’s not an option then you’d have to follow your desire.

Most people will say you shouldn't swap your SS Sports Model for a DJ but if you are feeling the swap why not. I can defintely see the appeal of the DJ41 in that combo you have said.

I prefer the sub. But if I felt otherwise, it would flip it. It's your watch.

This is the answer! Don’t sell your sub you’ll only regret it. Good luck
