Daytona without a doubt. The ss pepsi is not to everyone's taste.

I expect The Daytona black and white will continue to be harder to get but the SS Pepsi GMT may hold fast in second position?... until the updated submariner with new movement and properly tapered lugs. :)

SS Pepsi GMT right now is the hardest watch to get because they are not available at both ADs or Trusted Sellers.

It's all speculation at this point. Both will continue to be difficult to get for years to come. My guess would be Daytona over Pepsi, but who really knows.

My guess would be the Daytona...but who knows until the new GMT gets released. I just don't see how two years from now it will be more difficult to get than the Daytona is now.

White face Daytona is still the hardest SS model to acquire and it was released 2 years ago. I don’t see a wait list of 2 years for a GMT

We don’t know because we don’t know how many Rolex will ship.

The best proxy for hard to get is aftermarket pricing in my opinion.

What's harder to get... Daytona SS Ceramic or GMT SS Pepsi Ceramic

Stainless SkyDweller is absolutely the toughest to get. Then the Daytona.

My thoughts are the GMT will be released in mass - and that is pure speculation.

What better way to relieve some of the ‘pressure’ than to release the Pepsi in mass...we’ll see. I think (again, my opinion) if it falls to the wait perils of the SkyDweller or Daytona — it will end up not as highly desired as the two aforementioned references.

What’s funny to me — is I can remember back in the day, when ADs couldn’t almost GIVE away the Pepsi or Coke GMTs!!!!

The white Daytona will remain the hardest to get and it won’t even be close. The watch is as a close to a damn unicorn. I doubt I will ever see it on display at any AD throughout its entire run. Definitely more black dials out there.

Weren’t the Explorer IIs more popular than the GMTs during the ‘90s? That’s what I’ve heard.

I do remember them having a slightly larger following - the price point of the Expl II back then made it quite an appealing reference- comparatively. The Yacht-master was also quite popular back then as well.

Yeah back in the late 90s ....the Explorer II and Yachtmaster were THE watches to get (along with Daytona).

I ended up with white Explorer II (and specifically remember passing on the Pepsi (too colorful) and SeaDweller (who needs 4000ft?)).

Ironically, I now have SD4K and will be picking up Pepsi! Funny how things come full circle!

I’m always curious about the popularity of the Daytona vs. the GMT Master II. The GMT is arguably MUCH more functional with the date and dual time zone. Many people travel but NOBODY racing and tracking lap times with a Rolex. Good looking watch yes, but only time as function. What am I missing?

Daytona by a mile. The SS Daytona has ALWAYS been hard to get for as long as I could remember. Long long before this crazy SS frenzy started.

NOBODY? I know of at least one. And he’s quite the ambassador for the Daytona (Platona, in-fact). Meet Dr. Tom.

Oh, and I did a little go-karting in my Daytona C.

Neither if willing to pay extra, on the grey market hundreds of them, where as long there are those willing to pay most will end up.

Agree.
A lot of AD’s have said the blue dial Sky Dweller is the one they see least of.

Same here, got both ceramic Daytona and Pepsi, but still no black or blue Sky-D.

You're missing that people don't buy watches primarily for functionality.
