It is neither a dress watch nor a sports watch it’s a professional watch.

I really like the DJ41... Maybe one day I shall have one in my collection. But like others have said at this moment my eye is on Patek as well... I want my collection to be diverse.

Part of me wants a SS Sub date also.
I own the DJ 41, 36, and SubC combo. I like it as I use the 36 for formal, 41 for work, and Sub for casual.

Rolex doesn't make dress watches, DJ and DD aren't dress watches.

I voluntarily left Cellini out, as only Cellini Time fits in the category, but that makes your statement true, nonetheless.

I am curios about what is the difference that you see between a sports and professional watch, since you've stated in a previous comment that Rolex are not sports watches, but professional.

For this reason, will it be the shortage or the surcharge for sports models?
And this I see a long time ago, I have almost 1100 posts. I would like to know your opinions. Thanks friends.
These.

That comment that you say I made is not mine, you will have confused with another Forum people.
In what category would you put models 126300, 126301, 126303, 126334 and the like?

Not sure where you saw that I said that but I specifically referred to only the DJ41 in my previous post. Some people here consider DJ’s, DD’s and SkyD’s dress watches and clearly they are not. They are not sports watches either but professional watches. Now Subs, YMII’s, SD’s, Daytona’s etc they are sports watches IMHO even though Rolex calls them “professional”.

I didn't say anything about or quote any of your comments, you must of made a confusion. As for your question, the DJ, just as the DD are sports/processional/whatever watches. Leather strap, 2 or 3 hands dial, that is a dress watch. I am not a fan of all this labelling, but sub dials, graduated bezels, metal bracelets, dials crowded with complications, it's not what you could call dressy.

Hence why I initially thought your view on the DJ was valid for all the other models.
