I'm not a huge Daytona fan, but I know the LVC is way too green for me. So for that reason, I'd make the change..

Had a Daytona, sold it. No way would I flip my LVc for another. A dive watch with date window and timing bezel is a lot more useful than a chronograph from what I have found. I own several chronographs and have found they are a pain to activate quickly. Unscrew the pushers, rescrew pushers, etc... A timing bezel is faster and easier to read for normal daily activities. The size of the LVc wears alot bigger and the glidelock clasp is miles better than the easy link. I also own the easy link. A Daytona is a great second watch but not a daily for me.

IMO, for a daily, LVc is more suitable with date. Some of the folks I know let go their Daytona for that very reason when it came to keeping only one.
Keep the Sub will be my recommendation. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

unsure how a GREEN dial watch is more suitable as a daily (just bc it has a date function) unless that person is the Notre Dame head coach. Daytona by a MILE!!!!!!!

The sunburst green dial is a asset not a liability for a everyday watch.

Each has its own character but will definitely pick DaytonaC over LvC if you cannot have both. Goodluck.

if there's a chance for you to own them both simultaneously, I would highly recommend it. Getting rid of (or passing) on either watch could leave you quite regretful. I fully understand you can't own both, but you won't lose anything to sell either at a later date, once you make your final decision.
Otherwise, it's a very tough call. Personally, if I could only have one it'd probably be the LVC. |

I’m a sub guy and like to have the date function. If your father’s watch sings to you then Daytona is probably the right choice. I’d say wear before buying but that’s probably not possible.... Good luck!

I did a poll between the Daytona 116520 and the LVC a few years back and the Daytona won by a landslide. Like you I hadn’t seen the Daytona in person, but as soon as I did I realised that there was no need to have done a poll as it was such an easy decision. Still love the LVC but just think the Daytona is special.

If you can get a Daytona C for retail, you get the Daytona C.

I prefer the LVc, but try and see both and don't get swayed by the monetary hype.

A Daytona would drive me crazy as a daily due to no date. Worth considering if you are anything like me.

From a value perspective the Daytona would be the one. One Daytona equals two LVCs, imho.

I’m certainly in the minority here, but I would keep the LVc. I’ve gotten to try on a Daytona (albeit black dial), and while I’d love to have a Daytona C, the LVc wins out for me.

I’d do it. Very easily to reverse that with a trade and cash back.

Im thinking of selling off a couple of pieces to fund the daytona 116519 and it may need to include the LVc but not sure about this....

Well I’m a poor substitute but here goes...the Daytona is still the same watch with just a sliver of ceramic added on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If you’re interested in being able to read the time, or know the date, keep the LVC.
