I would buy a Milgauss. That way even if it's anti-climactic it'll still be anti-magnetic!

i think that was my mistake. when i bought my dj it was preloved and was the cheapest rolex i can find. i bought just to say i have one and to belong. then came the explorer II, then came the subdate, then came the TT daytona. all of those not a single remorse.

Sounds identical to my experience. Isn't it great to get rid of that Da**ed conscience?!

Let down? not really, have felt that about a lot! cars, suv's, homes, can't say that about my GMT II-C I like it even better than the GMT that I had years ago. I honestly don't pay much attention to it. I even left it at the gym on day, ran back and it was still there!!!! I do pay extra attention to it in Sunday's, cause I clean it along with my wife's rings.

I have owned my subdate for 3 and a half months now. I have never regret it.
I am also saving for my next rolex. A DJ jubilee bracelet, flutted bezel and roman numbers. I am not sure if the dial is going to be white, ice blue or black.

I have to agree with you, for me a lot of the thrill is in the research and anticipating the purchase.
Actually bought a 14060M (aka sub no date) and took it back within 48 hours, was so filled with buyers remorse. Having said that I bought another one a month or two later, but not from same dealer! I've kept this one and do enjoy it, though still wonder from time to time if I made the right decision. Hell, at the risk of excommunication, its just a watch and doesn't really do anything better than my Seamaster Pro. I just like the look of it better and the fact it is a classic Rolex. Definitely wouldn't go into debt to buy one, as many have also said on here. |

No. What makes a great watch is loving it as much as the day you bought it after not wearing it for a while. You'll know.
