It will be closer once people start getting the new GMT and have a more vested interest in supporting their new watch

I own one and it’s one of my all time favorites, the other I’ve never even seen in person. So my answer is easy.

BLRO of course. I rarely wear the Daytona I already have, so why would I get another only to sit in a box?

Gmt for sure! As a tool watch, the date and gmt function win me over.

Love the GMT but the new BLRO is in the middle of post-release hype - the Daytona will still be just as popular a year from now.

If only one, Daytona takes it for me but I'm looking forward to seeing and getting the SS BLRO.

i agree. I dont own either, but i did pass on a Daytona but won't pass on the BLRO.

Its a numbers game and people vote for their watch. No one has a SS BLRO yet so it cant win.

It really depends if you prefer a date or no date. As a daily I prefer date so BLRO.

Pepsi. I have the white dial Daytona but I like the Jubilee which swings it for me.

The GMT BLRO is my grail watch (16710), so clearly I choose the GMT. The Daytona is a gorgeous watch, but it has some fatal (for me) flaws.
1. No date window. That’s a must for me with watches.
2. It’s not a true 40mm watch. With my beefy wrists I find 40mm is my minimum size. And not all 40mm watches wear big enough for me.
3. Legibility is not ideal on the Daytona. For chronos I love the Omega Speedmaster. It’s a tool watch, simple and classic. It’s not as pretty as the Daytona, but I place a premium on legibility. To my mind, if the subdials are not highly legible, why have them?

All very subjective, but that’s why I would choose the GMT over the Daytona as my one/every day Rolex.

They are both classic iconic Rolex watches .
So to pick one is impossible. I have a Daytona but will I ever get the call for the new GMT. One will never know....

BLRO for me, not even close.

Now that some have managed to find their way into the wild, love to know how this poll would shake out if redone.

Hard_Six - Your avatar inspired me on my collection - have three of the four, DayC to add soon hopefully *fingers crossed*

OP - The BLRO is a great watch, but the choice would be easy for me - Daytona!

Since this thread has been bumped, I'm reversing my vote from back in May. BLRO it is.

With the current shortage whichever one you could get first should be a choice.

I'd take my 16710 BLRO over either of the official choices. For chronographs I'm all about the Omega Speedmaster. While the DaytonaC is a beautiful watch, legibility is far superior on the Speedmaster. Plus I'm a bit of a NASA/Space Program geek, and the Speedmaster history with Astronauts is a big thing for me. I also insist on a date window on all my watches, something the Daytona doesn't have. My Co-Axial Speedy has one.

I'm a huge GMT fan. My BLRO 16710 has been my grail watch for 30+ years, so clearly I'm definitely predisposed to choose a GMT over almost anything else.
