One point of confusion that I'm having is determining the year of manufacture by the serial number. I've looked at Bob's Watches manufacturing date sheet online and it states that watches with numbers around 1,752,000 are of 1968 vintage. However, Beckertime has another listing with 2,426,000 numbers as from 1968. Is there a more reliable source for mating serial numbers up with manufacturing dates? |
