Congrats

To me the Tudor GMT on a leather or NATO strap looks like the perfect relaxed summer watch to wear with shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. The only issue I have is the gap between the lugs, the straps sit very low. Leather might be a serious option if I could get some end links.

It is a real looker on the wrist and supremely comfortable

Very pleased with this pick up

I can see your point about low on the lugs but I think it just looks really nice on the NATO

your also right that it wears as a classy but casual watch on the strap

doubt if I will pay £540 for the tudor leather strap and clasp but I will no doubt pick up a nice brown strap for it at some point

I agree the NATO really suits this watch, it's just a personal opinion of mine but I'll have to check one out soon to be sure.

If you do decide to add a leather strap I would suggest you at least consider the clasp, I have it on my North Flag and it's very nicely done.

I suspect it is the same clasp as on my black bay as that is on the distressed leather strap

now that's an idea - put the strap off the black bay on the gmt for a different look?

Its a very nice looking watch, but on my monitor all the bezels look red and black. Are they red and blue? If its blue it must be very dark blue.

I can see the "too thick" comment being made by some but no 41mm black bay will ever wear like a 16710 - it's just the way it has always been on these watches - so if the original watch was too thick for you this one will be as well

by the way I assumed you meant the watch case and not the owner

I did post on another thread that it can photograph as a coke rather than a pepsi in some light as the blue is quite dark and the bezel is quite matte in finish but it is definitely blue not black

that sort endears it even more to me as the favourite watch I own is a coke 16710

Anyone in the US get the call on their BBGMT yet? I'm sure I'll be last, but I like to hope that even last on the list might happen before too long...

I’m in Vancouver, still no word yet. But the salesman at my AD said maybe mid month last I checked, so I’d imagine the US should be about the same time.

I am in. Bought on leather and immediately purchased the bracelet from RSC. Love it. Also tried on a 22mm leather nato that I had lying around. Looks great and a very versatile watch.

It does show a lot of case on the leather and nato but I really like it on all 3.

I came across this in an AD window!

I plan on taking mine on hols so may have to order a rubber b. I can use the deployment from the strap too.

I assume the black bay one will fit this I.e the case is exactly the same?

Really loving mine despite concerns over the case thickness. Tbh it wears nice and I’m starting to appreciate the polished slab side and the large crown looks well proportioned also.

Picked mine up on Friday, and have been wearing it all weekend. Very pleased with it. Also seems to be running within one second after two days

Having never owned a GMT watch before, thanks to this thread I have finally realised how you read one! I was hoping mine would arrive before Wednesday as I go abroad and wanted to use it to time keeping instead of my Seamaster 300 but doesn't look likely.

I was planning to set the GMT hand to GMT and the hour hand to BST for now, the hour would then be changed to GMT+3 when I arrive in Romania.

Looks like I will have to book another trip somewhere to make use of the GMT watch haha.

yes its quite blue in the flesh then the pictures on the internet and I also dont understand the 'too thick' comments .. but then I'm used to a DSSD :):)

very pleased with mine, however I'm having a blonde moment as Im a little confused about setting reference time and local time.. I admit to a couple of drinks in the sun yesterday but I was a tad confused..

Put an Everest band on my gmt. Wanted to change out the standard steel band and didn’t want the nato or leather option.

Really happy with the way it turned out.

Does that Everest strap add extra bulk? Looks like it would make it hard to slip under a shirt cuff.

To be fair, it’s not the easiest anyway. Like most black bays.
