The BLNR was in the Rolex display at Basel. You don't do that for a discontinued watch.

It's not the same same thing. You can opt out of the phone book but the BLNR is an inanimate object that can't choose. There have been threads on this exact same topic referencing the exact same catalog, and it was proven that the BLNR will not be discontinued and it is included in the giant master catalog.
It was on display at Basel and still on the website and still shipping to dealers.

I wish people would stop trying to be cool, "the first guy to post", without searching first, this is old and fake news.

Well that would eliminate most of the threads started in this sub forum

I must confess that even my AD thought the BLNR was about to be discontinued when we found it to be missing from the latest Rolex brochure.

However, he's just had the latest master catalogue delivered and its in there so I guess production is still in progress.

The 116710BLNR is not in my new Rolex book but, it does appear on the Rolex website. Perhaps they will discontinue it when the run out of dials and bezels.

Can someone provide some clarity on why the BLNR is NOT listed in the most current catalog? I believe the “100% not discontinued” statements but then why wouldn’t it be listed in the catalog? Strange.

BLNR and LN are not listed in the catalog that was given out at Baselworld which caused people to go crazy. Couple weeks later, ADs started receiving the master catalog for the year and both BLNR and LN were in there. So its safe to assume that neither is on the chopping block just yet.

Simple answer, not all models are presented in the customer's catalog ... it have been like that every year since Rolex publish catalogs for his customers ...

Yes, but you are 113 years old... so this statement isn’t worth much. LOL.

Rolex does seem to be kind of hiding the BLNR and black bezel models on their website, tbh. They don't show up if You go to the main page for GMT Master or when You click on "configure" next to the new jubilee model. You have to go all the way down to the bottom of the page, and click on the GMT Master II listing in the black field. Then it shows all the current configurations. Kind of a subversive way to lead shoppers to the more expensive models, it seems.

Yes, however this makes too much sense in this "hyped up look at me world"

Logic is far not off - according to some you may not exist... Some may not know what a phone book is if they are really young. I have not seen one for years.

Isn't it possible that the BLNR and LN were not in the Baselworld catalog because these two models will be upgraded with the new Pepsi movement in the next 12 months but Rolex are not ready yet to roll them out? I'm sure this has already been suggested but it seems like a possibility. If I was Rolex and trying to hype up the Pepsi I would allow it to be the "superior" GMT for a bit of time. If they gave the new movement to the BLNR at the same time, it might have stolen some of Pepsi's limelight.
