Tudor is a great brand and has come out with some amazing pieces. In fact, I would only buy a Tudor if I was getting a non Rolex with a lower price. BUT it’s still a Tudor and not a Rolex. Your collection, budget and preference need to dictate this decision. Personally, I’d get a Tudor Pepsi over the new SS Rolex Pepsi, but I prefer PM Rolexes over SS.

I'm in love with the Tudor GMT. But I'd take the BLNR in a heartbeat over it.

FWIW, I'd take the Tudor GMT over the all black GMT Master or the new Pepsi GMT Master. But not the Batman. It's sublime.

I’d much rather have the Tudor but it seems like you really want the BLNR so that’s the one you should get

BLNR...Tudor is nice...but. Also, the power reserve thing is nice but not really that big of deal.

You’re right.

I don’t know what the difference in recreational usage of a watch would be between 100m and 200m, I just think it’s cool that the Tudor has the water resistance of a dive watch in a GMT !

I like the Tudor much more. Their ceramic is too polished and shinny for me.

BLNR for sure. I don't like the aluminum bezel insert on the Tudor GMT.

Having handled that Tudor, my choice would be the BLNR no question, even if it meant waiting to save.

It’s not just the depth, but the pressure exerted on the watch. Here’s a rough guide:

Water resistance: Wearable when water is splashed on the watch where no pressure is placed.

50m water resistance: Wearable around sinks and at activities such as normal swimming, athletic sports, and at shallow waters only. Snorkeling and underwater diving is not allowed.

100m water resistance: Wearable around sinks and activities such as swimming, sports, poolside diving, and snorkeling. Jet skiing and scuba diving are still not allowed.

200m water resistance: Wearable around sinks, swimming, sports, snorkeling, jet skiing, but not scuba diving.

Diver’s watch: Wearable at all above-mentioned activities including scuba diving except at instances and depths where helium gas is needed.

OK
So, the BLNR is not fit for jet skiing at all?
This is not Rolex water depth chart.
I'd like to see what they say.

100 m is plenty for jet skiing, imo

This.

...and the answer is BLNR.

And I say this awaiting my first Tudor (North Flag). But nothing compares to my Batman. It’s an incredible piece. Not taking away from Tudor. That’s why the post I quoted is the answer in the end. Just get what you want and enjoy it!

This picture hints at an extremely cool aspect of the BLNR’s ceramic bezel. At night or in low light the blue disappears and looks black. While in sunlight or bright indoor light it glows a gorgeous hue of blue. It’s amazing.

But, as others say, get what you want! In this choice there is no wrong decision, so get the watch you really like.

Don't forget that you can act again. What I mean to say is if Rolex does this or that (can also discontinue BLNR) then you can sell what you have and get the new movement watch. Live for today and act accordingly when the world around you changes (Rolex changes its line up :)).

For me the Tudor does not even come close and will always be second best to a Rolex GMT II.

I’d buy a Tudor GMT, a Tudor BB 36, a dressy Longines automatic AND a beater Tissot automatic before I bought a BLNR. For the same price mind you...

That is nonsense when it comes to Rolex.

There are some watches that applies to, who do not take WR seriously. However, there are people who have dove with OPs with no issues (including a world famous female diver who uses a DJ).

The watch brand has nothing to do with it. But, please do what makes you happy.

Unless you already have another Rolex GMT, I say get the BLNR first. Then think about the Tudor

Two very different watches and price points. Early in my collecting I would have had to go with the Rolex because I would have seen Tudor as some kind of short fall. The more I have been involved with watches I would choose the Tudor. I prefer the BB GMT and I have handled both. The money for the Rolex would allow me to buy several other cool watches and straps. But sometimes we just have to go where our heart takes us. When the BB GMT hits the stores go check it out, make a choice and enjoy.
