Would buying either/both moved you down the list for white or blue dialed variants? If not, I would have bought and worn both and then decided when the next ones arrived if it was worth it to switch or not. If it was, you wouldn’t have lost a penny on either. You have major will power!

By buying them i wouldn't have been even offered the white and blue when they came in, I felt that was fair enough and why I waited

I personally prefer the black Daytona so would have grabbed it... But for the SkyD, blue is with waiting for

Very fair!!! I tried on the white dial Daytona but wasn’t convinced. I don’t know if I can pass up the black. I am supposedly on a list.

While the black Daytona is great, the white is much nicer (also more legible). The blue Sky-Dweller is spectacular and worth waiting for (I’m still waiting for mine). So short of wanting to just be a flipper I think you made the right decision.

Gotcha, well then I think waiting for Blue Skydweller is a wise choice but for DaytonaC, Black is the way to go! Much better in person, I have owned both and sold the White dial after a few months.

OP, of course you did the right thing. Sounds like your dealer will still supply what you want when they can, it wasn’t a take it or leave it proposition.
You folks who can drop $25K on two watches you don’t really want but everyone else does are out of my league. I’m not a flipper and pretty sure neither is OP.

Not a flipper but knowing how hard both are to come by I knew it was going to be a tough decision. The hottest watch bar a 5711. Someone else is going to be very happy and I'll be very happy with the white one when it comes in.

The sky is SS. Looking back at the picture of does look TT. I'm going to wait for the SS blue dial.

NO WAY I would pass on any Stainless DaytonaC at MSRP.I’d buy it and flip it instantly like Hundreds of others are doing and make 5K....This is capitalism my Friend.

I would be so tempted to pull the trigger.

I like the white Daytona as well, but if I was offered a black dial. I would pull the trigger and keep my name on the white dial. You can always enjoy the piece for a bit and then sell later (or pass it onto another member at msrp).
