Pleasant surprises keep coming
Hello everyone!
Well, it has been an interesting month. At the beginning of June I went to pick my wife’s new diamond bezel Datejust, which I had ordered for her 40th birthday. A week later, just the night before I was scheduled to pick up her piece, I got a text from my pal at the AD, with the surprising news that my Daytona had arrived; so it suddenly became a double incoming. Fast forward approx. 4 weeks, yesterday, I texted her to reiterate my interest in the 116610lv. She knew I wanted it since last year when I commented that I had to let my old hulk go, but I had a priority on the Daytona. She was off yesterday, but the I got a pic this morning, with the headline 'Back at work...it is yours'...it arrived on 07/06/18 (this past Friday night)...That's crisp. I loved my first 116610LV. However, a sudden opportunity presented to me last year to get my hands on a bnib 5711 white face (my grail), at msrp, and I had to give up my hulk to help fund my Nautilus. The recent crazy prices, and presumed scarcity, on this piece had kept my interest to acquire another one at bay. But again my AD has come through. It literally took her 24 hours to get me the Hulk, sealed in its coffin! Now I have to wait until Tuesday to collect it. Second time peeling the stickers off a Hulk; though this time I will get to crack the coffin myself hehe. Thank you for taking your time to read this far... Sent from my iPhone |
