Somehow the JLC faux vintage lume doesn't work for me, otherwise it is a nice watch.

While I love JLC and chronographs and I like the looks and layout of this watch, I really dislike the fauxtina. For that reason alone, I would probably go with the Rolex, even though it's common and doesn't dress up well.

Tremendous respect for JLC... but in this comparison, I'd keep the Submariner.

If it were a Polaris, you'd have a different answer from me ;>

Those JLC chrono movements are delicate at best. Check it out, lots of problems.

I really like the JLC and in a multi watch collection it would get a lot of wrist time. Between the two, the Rolex Submariner wins hands down. It is hard to beat a Rolex Diver and if I had only one it would be a either a Submariner or a Sea Dweller.

The one you like the most.

I always kind of laugh at these "Rolex v another company" threads. You're on a Rolex forum asking members (some of which own multiple sub iterations) if the sub is best. I'd also wager over half the people commenting have never even seen that JLC in person.

If those are your only two I would say sub for sure. If you own Rolex’s I would consider keeping the JLC as it is less common than the sub. Either way first world problem.

Ive owned both Sub and JLC DSC, kept the sub. JLC never got enough wrist time and I found it prettier in the box than actually comfortable on the wrist. I tried hard to convince myself otherwise too. I dont miss it.

That JLC is a cool watch with some neat features. However, do not care for the faux patina. Plus I love Subs, so Sub it is.

JLC in a heartbeat.

I was surprised this was a choice.

Rarely do I see sokome with such good taste.

That watch exudes class.
