Second photo is of probably one of the earliest automatic chronographs out there! Feb. of 69, with the dial being marked Dec. of 68!

Just added the 6105 this week, got it from the original owner's estate. He purchased it on the PX, used it during service, then dropped it when he returned home. It sat in a drawer ever since then!
Some great pieces there. That 6105 was a great find

Thank you sir! It really is pretty amazing. The 6139 from Feb. of '69 really changes things up for Seiko as well!

Seiko was ahead of the game in so many areas of mechanical watchmaking back then. It's sadly ironic that the Seiko-led quartz crisis brought down their own best lines, Grand Seiko and King Seiko.

Here's a group shot with a box I just bought. One of these watches is not vintage (the others are 1960s/70s) but quite recent.

I dropped this of at Michael's Young's place this morning for a movement service. Not quite sure if I'll keep it afterwards or not, but as one of the best mechanical movements of the 1970s, it deserves to be fixed up.

My duo of 6105 divers. The 6105-8000 is a 1970 proof/proof with 6105B (hacking) movement. The 6105-8119 was my dad's and is what got me into this crazy game of watches... (That's him in Vietnam with his sentry dog pictured on the coffee mug)
