Since he owns so many DDs, I would suggest to get some different, i.e. PP5711 Platinum.

Is he interested in any other references? That’s a lot of day dates, but if that’s his thing, there are still a lot of great options as mentioned above.

How about the God daydate.. this watch is the cherry for any daydate afficionado, it might even be the only Rolex Daydate he will ever need. Platinum dd40 with emeralds, Nothing says Rolex more than those green gems(a watch for a man who has everything). Goodluck and your husband is a lucky man

*** but in your choices the YG DD40 in Chanpagne dial will always be a classic. Thats my choice. Cheers.

But how about something completely different?
He's obviously got almost every combination of DD.

WG GMT, Platinum Daytona? Or another brand?

Gorgeous collection and your DJ 31.

on a second thought, he probably already has those as well :D

Good luck!

He already own PP, AP... .. FPJourne, Urwerk, Sinn, MB&F and other Rolex (GMT, Sub, Daytona.. etc)

But he always comes back to Rolex Day Date.

Specially lately he wear DD40 almost daily.

I am thinking about getting him something different. Something maybe a bit louder than his everyday WG.

What are the dozen 36mm's? Are they more traditional combination or more rare/out of the ordinary? Have you ruled out a 36mm completely?

I know you're on the hunt for a new 40mm piece but as others have said something more one-off or unique may be something to consider.
