If you like the watch then absolutely! I was on the fence for one and ultimately am getting a blue 15400 instead.. but it was a tough decision.. that blue skyD is beautiful though

The only reason to buy a watch is if you love it, otherwise pass

If you like it, and it looks good on you, and you can afford it, why not?

If you can afford it and will wear it, yes.

I'm not one to take advantage of my relationship with my AD to get watches to flip, or to get just because everyone else loves it

You don't "have" to do anything. There are plenty of people out there that would think paying 14-15k for a watch was insane, to be honest.

But, if I had that same opportunity, I for sure wouldn't pass it up.

By “have to” I meant that while timing may not be right (it never is right?) who knows when or if I’ll have this opportunity again.. Figure I can’t lose if I don’t love it so I ended up buying it and after having the 5th Ave service center adjust it for me I’m wearing it home.

Will post pics if I can figure out how to

There's no downside. Buy and love it or buy it and flip it for a profit with minimal effort.

Just out of curiosity I called dealers checking if one was available. One AD near my office just that day got a black SS in. I had to see it. I then had to have it. Crazy but the hunt is a lot of fun but owning it is even better. What a great addition.

If you love the watch, yes! If you don't love it, I don't see the point in buying it unless you intend to flip it

Let us all know what you decide. It's a popular watch but wears a tad large for some to be comfortable with it. FWIW, I prefer not having to do anything but rather choosing what I want to do.

As someone who bought and sold his blue Sky-D, I'd recommend bearing two points in mind before purchasing it:
1. After wearing it a couple of times, I didn't like how it sat on the wrist (bascially it doesn't sit flat and hug the wrist like to AP and Panerai do).
2. Very busy dial between 3 - 9, often interfered with telling the time at a glance.

Besides this it's an absolutely beautiful watch.

Haha. Yes buy it. If you don’t like it sell it at Msrp to someone else. Help bring the gray prices down ;)

Getting White ceramic Daytona is a lot easier than getting blue Sky-Dweller. So if you like it you should buy it. Next chance might take years to come.

It is excellent watch to everyday use, parties, wearing with suit etc. And it looks amazing!

Yous should definitely get it. Sky-D is the best and most versatile watch for your investment.
