Tudor VS Rolex "Fat" case strategic move?

Hi,

As we all know is Tudor releasing some nice dive watches at very reasonable prices the last couple of years.Black Bay,Pelagos,....

What i personally don't understand is that the Tudor cases are much thicker/less elegant then Rolex cases which puts me and probably a lot of other buyers a bit off.

In my humble opinion this has nothing to do with waterproofness as:
Submariner has thinner case and has higher dept rating then a Black Bay.
Seadweller has thinner case and has higher dept rating then a Pelagos.

Is Rolex doing this on purpose to keep their own divers a bit more slimmer/sexier Tudor?Back in the days Tudor used Rolex cases which made their watches equal in look to Rolex except for the hour markers, hands and movement which made the price difference justified.

Grts,

R
