LOL,,,,,,,,, perhaps,,,, the heavier one was weighed nearer to the equator and the lighter one was weighed nearer to the poles.

Something wrong with that Sub weight of 146grams. If I am the owners of that I would check it is genuine.

Here's another 2017 Sub all links 160grams

Everyone knows stickers make the watch look heavier than it is :)

The fact that people sit around and weight their watches though...Too much time on their hands I guess.

PS If you want heavy buy a WG Sports model.
Have to agree but most today have been stereotyped into heavier is always better.

Yea, weight is one thing, ballance is everything. Even a mid weight watch can wear like hell if it’s too top heavy.

I prefer lighter watches, I don't want to be conscious of a wrist watch until it's time to check the time

I have to agree with members who said balance is important. This 16628 (all links) seems very balanced but only weighs 185 grams. Good info in this thread...

I don't know why it's that big of a deal. Many people on this board analyze every detail of every model Rolex. To me, knowing the weight is just as meaningful a detail as every as any physical or aesthetic feature. And every/any physical detail in every/any model that Rolex produced is probably discussed and analyzed in excruciating detail with countless threads on this forum.

Considering the analytical eye of this collective forum, weight seems like a meaningful detail IMO.

Is there a listing of the weight of current SS sport models; Sub, GMT, Exp II, Sea Dweller, etc? I assume this would include the standard band with all links. Just curious how my Exp II compares to other models.

Here is the weights of several watches I had access to;
Pelagos LHD 145 grams
Daytona C 141 grams
Tudor 20300 164 grams
Tudor Bronze 128 grams
Rolex Exp II 126 grams
Daytona Meteorite 160 grams
Rolex Sub C 147 grams

These are just quick weigh ins on a $20.00 scale so take them for what they are worth.

Love these threads. I never knew how much more weight PM makes a watch, very informative.

My 114270 with 3 links removed is 100g, barely feel it on my wrist.

Hi John, there's already a reference thread for watch weights here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=429943

It makes a big difference to me. It's the whole reason I wear a Tudor Date+Day over a gold Rolex. I don't believe my watch even breaks 90 grams (it has folded links,) and it even makes my old Exp II seem cumbersome. The lighter the better!
