I'd take a ceramic as my first watch.

I would take the first one to arrive and wear it and see if I wanted to keep it. When the second watch arrived I would see if I had the desire for it, if so, I would have a nice two watch collection.

I would buy only from AD, go for the Gold, this is what you want. You pay big $$, you have no reason to step back on what you like to wear. |

Lucky guy! You've got an incoming BLRO and a blue-dial Sky-Dweller. Two of the hardest to find watches in the Rolex market right now.

Wow, thank you all for the feedback!
As it stands, the tally for a population of 28 is: 15 (53.6%) for BLRO; 8 (28.6%) for Sky; and 5 (17.9%) for both. As t65tampa puts it - I am truly lucky to have this opportunity. That said, while compelling arguments can be made to purchase both - I am still leaning towards one or the other. I am mindful that others have been waiting a long time to acquire one of these gems and, as such, I would like to give the next person in queue that opportunity. In light of the feedback, I may very well need to wait until the BLRO comes in to make a decision. I think I will try on a white gold Sky-Dweller over the next several weeks to assist in this endeavor. |

BLRO. Make sure you spend at least double the MSRP on it though.

This may not be popular at TRF, but I would buy both, keep the BLRO for at least until the Skydweller came in and then definitely sell the Skydweller and pocket some cash to compensate for your BLRO.
If you decide you don't like the BLRO you could even sell buy and get something else. Anyway, in my opinion the BLRO is a much better daily watch than the Skydweller. While the Skydweller is gorgeous and totally a "baller" watch, it's a little too much for daily use.

Why not both? Easy decision there. Otherwise BLRO > SkyD

Sky D. It's the most complicated Rolex and the dial looks so unique

The only caveat to that plan is that if you can get those watches at list then you clearly have an in with an AD, and you wouldn't want to jeopardize that. But you'd know better than we would what's acceptable here. |

Get both.
I don’t own either, and have been a fan of the blue SkyD since it was released....and was pretty tepid about the SS BLRO - it is a striking watch with an interesting and practical complication. However, having seen the BLRO it has really grown on me - I think it’s stunning. If you don’t have to choose, don’t. Each is very special |

Please don’t encourage this behaviour. Some of us are actually interested in purchasing the steel BLRO to keep

I agree with this!
But if you can snatch both, do it. Sort it out later and sell the one that you like less. |

They are both wonderful watches but if pushed to make a choice, I'd go for the blue Sky Dweller.
At its MSRP and considering the complications it offers, I see it as being a real bargain. Plus of course, I think it looks nicer (and being a shallow person, to me, looks matter!) |

like both, prefer the BLRO.
IMO the jubilee is a no brainer especially vs a fluted bezel if you are unsure. Both make the watch a bit more flashy but of the two features, the bracelet is better to me.

You guys are sure making this difficult...
Current tally among 45 is: 21 (46.7%) for BLRO (decrease of 6.9%) 15 (33.3%) for Sky (increase of 4.7%) ; and 9 (20%) for both (increase of 2.1%). |

I have a BLRO and am on the waiting list for a blue SD.... very different watches , but for me the BLRO pulls the heart strings more
