Either one is a good buy, but get the one you enjoy looking at. No question for me, 114060 without a doubt.

I purposely chose the Submariner and am happy with that choice.

Wait for what you want. I have done that in the past buying something not completely sold on. You will like it for a while but down the road you will want what you want and then do it while losing a couple bucks in the process.

I got the date (both were avilable), but need the readers on to actually see the date! Ha! Love both watches and can’t go wrong either way. If you want the date I’d wait for it.

Don't buy out of desperation. I own the subc. I don't like the darn date bubble. Wait for what you really want.

Here's a clue: I wanted an exp II but hate the bubble. No choice, I bought from DavidSW and took the bubble off.

I do like the date and the cyclops look , but my no date has certainly grown on me. I did have some doubts at first, but the symmetry and clean look have won me over. The grass will always be greener on the other side.

Wait for the date. Otherwise, every time you raise your Sub ND to look at it and check the non-existent date, you will be annoyed.

I just look at the date in the morning and remember it. Easy enough

Hi there, I am new to the forum and also new owner of a Submariner no date.
last month I went to a Rolex AD and asked them about the sub date and they said they will have new shipment soon and they will inform me.
only one day later I received a call from them and they said shipment arrived.
I went there to buy the date version, they had the new sea dweller,GMT and also no date.
I tried all of them but after I looked to the watch from the side, that cyclops looked little strange to me.
I went there to buy a date version but left the AD with the no date.

DO NOT settle, you will not be able to just “live with” having no date if you are used to having it.

I wouldn’t recommend you getting a watch for close to $8K to settle! I would wait for what you want! Otherwise you won’t be totally happy!

I was in the same boat and have no regrets with the 114060. It’s a classic sub, a little more under the radar and excellent piece.

I think it looks better w/o the date.

Me yes, however, you are the one paying and wearing so really you need to weigh it out.
I will share that I have purchased only a couple I "settled" for as the reference I desired could not be had only to flip them for what I really wanted to begin with. Have now lived and learned to enjoy the hunt and purchase what "I" really want. Haven't gone wrong since.
Best of luck in your quest!

I prefer the no date. Don't buy what you don't want, wait for the date version. Your patience will be rewarded.
