Well, my antique Rolex Explorer 1655 had not been worn or cleaned in <cough!> <cough!> some extended time. I removed the bracelet and was shocked at the grime built up on the sides of the watch, under the band ends.
Overnight soak in Murphy's Oil Soap (a gentle oil soap, everywhere in the U.S.), slight work with a toothbrush, and it was shocking how much filth was on the bottom of the pan. MUCH cleaner. And when I wore the watch, I always took a shower with it. I then took the bracelet to a jeweler for an ultrasonic cleaning, but no idea of the results. They didn't bring it out on a stick with a sour look on their faces. . . But the posts did then slide easily out of the bracelet. Chris Atlanta |

About once every 2 weeks, I wash the Rolexes I have in my rotation (currently my no-Date Sub, DJ and Explorer 1) with soap, warm water and a toothbrush. I then dry them with a soft cotton towel. Makes 'em shiny and clean again !

I wash my watch every day!! In the shower in the morning, and then throughout the day (usualy when I visit the rest room) I'll give it a nice clean and shine! Hopefully doesn;t put too much wear and tear on them

I wash mine, every week, with soap (without balsam) and clean it with my hands only. Then I dry it with a towel and polish it with a microfibre cloth !
Looks beautiful . |

Shower with it on but I clean it with ammonia based jewelry cleaner and a tooth brush once a month or so

I wash my watches with warm water and soap at leat once every 2 weeks. A co-worker has a GMT II coke pretty knew but filthy as a horse &$$ and even when I have told him several times to clean it and how he is reluctanct to do it, like waiting for an special soap to do it or something. The only thing I know is that the poor GMT is really dirty and it bothers me.
Best,

Warm water and mild hand soap just like Rolex recomends. About once a week or every other week as I have a couple watches which I were in rotation. Just like to keep it clean and prevent bracelet stretch.

I bring mine to my AD it's in the mall and I go there once or twice a month. They take it in the back I can hear a steam thing and it comes back so shiny.

I either wear mine in the shower, or wash it with warm water and dish soap. Than dry with a towel.
