My 9 month old Exp II feels smooth as silk when I manually wind it. It's a great watch.

I noticed too that the 3235 feels different from the 3135 when winding...not really a bad thing but I can't if it's more "gritty" or not...I will pay more attention on that end.

Funny thing is I love the feel of how the new movement winds.
To me, it feels substantial. The clicking tells me it's actually winding. But....I was coming off a Pierce Brosnan model 98' Omega Seamaster which feels like a toy by comparison (in terms of wind). Don't have a 3135 to compare it to, but to me it screams "quality." |

Have always found the movements in Pelagos and BB to be ‘grittier’ than Rolex equivalents ime.

My new Datejust with 3235 feels grindy when winding. I bought it new from AD. Its more accurete than the 3135.

The Black bay is incredibly smooth to wind isn't it? In comparison the 3235 does feel a little gritty but it's hard to imagine anything feeling smoother than the Tudor. |

I’m experiencing this as well. I have a new 116500 and it has a much different feel than any other Rolex I’ve owned, which include movements, 3132, 3135, 3186, 3187. Its more rough with intermittent grittiness. Since this seems to be experienced with the 3235, perhaps it has to do with the 70hr power reserve? Was trying to avoid taking it to RSC, and it seems that this is a common occurrence? Time keeping is spot on +/- 1sec/day |

I find the winding mechanism has a bit of resistance to it, it's 2 years old. Brought it to the AD but could not compare it with others as there is no stock left in the store!!. The AD was wearing an Omega 300M as was I. Same watch with vastly different resistances. I suspect there is a wide variation in "normal"
