Congratulations on your beautiful white DaytonaC! Looks fantastic on your wrist. I'm so happy to hear your patience paid off and you have a wonderful heirloom piece for your daughter. Glad when someone who really wants a watch to keep & wear actually gets it. Enjoy it in good health. Cheers!

I'm rooting for all the members waiting... what I can say is that if you are on the waiting list, routine drop ins, to talk shop, always helps. Over the last few years I've been spending more time in the technical section of the forums to get to know the technical side of these well made watches.

Makes for better conversation then just, "hey when is my watch coming in?"

It's great when you correct your AD about a movement model number

Thanks for the very kind words everyone and joining in on the celebrating the “incoming”. These watches have had a polarizing effect and it feels like a community ‘win’ when a fellow TRF member scores a hard to get piece.

As a side note this was the first Rolex that I did not want the AD to size for me.
I’ve been taking ownership of the sizing at home with these tools. Part of the reason, similar to my car, is that I want to be more knowledgable with my quality items. No I’m not opening up the case but I certainly like to do my own sizing instead of relying on the AD to perform the work. It gives me control over fine tuning the fit and provides a more intimate relationship with the craftsmanship of the bracelet.

Feels good to get it ‘just right’ without having to make the AD go back and fourth necessary for sizing confidence.

After the run it stayed on the wrist for soccer practice where I coached my son and daughters team. It didn’t feel out of place with tee shirt and shorts. A truly versatile piece.

(Speed, thanks for your post and question. given the long waiting list for this piece I prefer to keep my AD private. Thanks for understanding)

It is but at the same time the excitement during the anticipation phase of getting the watch has come and gone. Now the ownership excitement begins. Both create their own dopamine release :)

My other pieces are pretty beat up and I expect this one to be put through the paces along with them.
