Does seem like its loosening up a bit. Should help drive some prices down when guys are sitting on them for a while.

I went into an AD in London last week to ask about Sub LV availability and when they stopped laughing, they told me there were 30 people on the list for that model. I haven't seen an SS sports model in an AD for well over a year. No return to normality over here.

Slow as molasses by me, and my AD isn’t expecting much for the rest of 2018.

I even think wait times on SS Daytonas will start to become far more reasonable.

At least worth avenue is incredibly gorgeous! They didn’t have much stock in July, so I got stuck buying my wife jewelry down the road that day haha

My AD told me they are expecting one more shipment before end of year and the shipment will most likely have my BLRO since they claim they have not received a BLRO this year and are entitled to at least one per year.

Of course they could also be blowing hot air and giving me the run around.

Just got back from Vegas. Checked out a couple of dealers and they were displaying very few SS models. It was pretty dry. One salesman advised Rolex had cut/restricted production to drive up demand. Crazy.

Not sold because nobody bothers going into the shop anymore.

I was in Budapest AD last week. For SS, they have AirKing, Explorer II both white and black dial and Milgauss. For YG, they have GMT green dial, Sub blue dial and Daytona. No discount for SS, some discount for YG

This could be accurate. Whilst in my AD last Saturday buying a ring for my wife I asked the watch manager did she have anything worth while Rolex wise in the safe. A few moments later she returned with a hulk which I purchased as well as the ring.

I do have a relationship with them though so this will partly explain it.

Visited a high volume AD in Dallas a few weeks back and their inventory was quite sparse

No stainless in Dallas. Tried on a few IWC’s. A perpetual calendar and the yatch club were super nice. In the end holding out for Rolex!!!

Not at all. I went to Shreve in SF last weekend and their cases were sad and bleak. The store was empty.

I was at an AD in Galway, IE last week. Explorer IIs, Milgauss, some TT GMTs, and a bunch of boredom beyond that. Nothing to see there.

Well done. I know Laings well and they’re very professional. They’re also very choosy who they sell to so clearly they like you.

Well played

Went to a local AD where I didn’t have any relationship just to browse and their case was pretty bare except some Milgaus and YM. I overheard one sales associate speak with the manager about a customer calling and asking if the black Daytona was still available and the manager responding that he thought that customer was interested in another model he showed him. The sales associate then went over to me and said as you can see in the case we don’t have much. So I’m guessing just like many ADs, they are receiving sought after pieces but they never show up in the display and go to preferred clients.

Got my new daytona there 14 months previously. Went in to ask about hulk and black sub date/no date. Watch manager said no chance... Would I like a daytona instead

SOLD!!

Also sent a nice email after that purchase about to do the same regarding the hulk purchase. It pays to be nice. Whilst these were expensive purchases for me I’m not a VIP with them.
