I had a 1963 Chevy Belair two door sedan with a 283 and three on the tree. It was a funny thing, that I spent more time in the back seat, than the front. I was driving all I could.
I wish I had that car today. At my age I would spend more time in the front seat. Terry Newton

I rode my 3 speed bicycle to High School everyday, rain or shine. The school was located 20 miles (approx 32kms) from home.

I drove an Acapulco Blue 1965 Mustang Fastback 289 with Holley 4 barrell and modified C4 automatic. I have pics somewhere. If I ever run across them, I'll put 'em up

My first car was a rebuilt and restored 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible. Not my picture but same color. It felt like a powerboat on the road with strong engine and deep V8 burble sound, no brakes and numb power steering.

I drove a 73 Dodge Charger SE. Man that thing flew in a strait line but in the curves, it was scary.

1978 Black Z28 hooked up very nicely which I bought at age 15 & started restoring/modifying before I even had my license, it was more show than go but still a killer car to have during my HS years. Man I wish I would have taken pics of my toys back then. Had a wicked 12 sec. Mustang after the Camaro which I bought/built after learning the hard way that all show no go Camaro's get left at the lights with your G/F sitting in the seat next to you, haha. No pics of that one either though.

1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme - dark brown with a tan interior. I paid $1000 for it in 1983 and sold it for $600 two years later with a blown transmission.
It had the 350 Rocket engine, 5.7L V8 making a miserable (by today's standards) 180HP. Handling and braking were not exactly in that cars design parameters, it was more like a rolling couch, bench seat and all. |
