I like your current collection, but obviously I agree a Daytona would change it up! I like the YM, but not sure I'd lose a Sub ND for it...

The YM 1 is a watch I really don’t get. The Submariner on the other hand is the quintessential Rolex diver. Unique in that it only comes in Stainless steel in one configuration as Hans Wilsdorf intended.

To each their own though

Great shot! Which watch do you find more comfortable? The Daytona or the PM Yachtmaster with its Oysterflex? (And which one do you wear more?). I have a Daytona and am thinking of adding a PM YM. Thanks!

I would. The Yachtmaster is one of the only watches that I have flipped that I miss enough to purchase again. Ironically, the 14060 is what I flipped to get my Yachtmaster. Definitely the most comfortable to wear, in my opinion.

The YM is more of a niche market, so if you're in that niche, then yes. But otherwise, I would look for something else. Something along the lines of a SD43 or Polar EXP2 for me.

I wouldn’t do it, but there’s no question in my mind that a YM would add a lot of variety to your collection.

Yes. I’d get something that offered some contrast to the other two.

PS. What do we call the blue dial? Sunburst, or..?
Yes, it's a blue sunburst, shade is a tad darker than the Sub's.

I love my Sub and it's so easy to defend but lf your not enjoying it, whatever it is by all means cut it loose. I must say I'm starting to get the allure of the YM as well.

I would sell the LV before the ND. But it all depends on what you like. For example, I’m not a YM man.

I am not a YM guy, but that blue dial has rubbed off on me. If it were me, I'd go that route or keep the ND. I've never owned a Polar II, but that's one I might consider if you were looking for something in a non-black dial.

Keep what you have and save up for the fourth. Delayed gratification can be rewarding.

I would make the trade; the SubC 114060 is common enough. It is a sharp watch but not all that visually interesting, imho. Besides the YM has a date.

You could go for an Explorer I or II, Milgauss or a Datejust.

3 watches is enough for me.. or else my wife will kill me. Lol. I tried that before, had and sxplorer 2 but didnt really like it. With the prove of daytonas right now, its impossible for me to buy one.

Of course you should do it! The YM 1 whether 5 digit or 6, is a Beautifully Refined version of the Submariner. Once on your wrist, it feels like it was meant to be there. The comfort is amazing, and the colors are some of the most spectacular in the ROLEX line-up. The Platinum Dial, is like no other, and the Platinum Bezel, has a look all it's own

"If you don't know, you don't know..." A line from the Movie Hoodlum

Which color and model are you looking at?

Going over to Tapatalk to post a picture...

The one with the blue dial and the rhodium

I'd say no, personally i have been on the fence with my Sub thinking to flip or not to flip most likely not.

Personally I’d find a Sub ND and LVc redundant. I’d save for a bit, kick the ND, and go for a DaytonaC or an SD43 or something different. I’m not a YM fan though...

YM is a great reference, but the Sub ND is just iconic. A must have, IMHO.
