Have to agree but today's Rolex watches in general get a very very pampered life.

I tend to sleep with whatever watch I'm wearing at the time.
If I alternate watches or take it off, it goes in a drawer in my bedroom. Watches I'm not wearing go in a safe. |

You’re right. This topic pops up quite frequently - which doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is the fact that the ‘wise ass replies’ only seem to get worse (not as funny as they were in the earlier threads) with each new thread started about this topic. |

Currently DaytonaC going back and forth between crown up and then dial up the next night, and it's been dead on accurate.
I haven't really kept track of accuracy for a long time, but that little Rolex card with the position suggestions has proven to be true. |

Depends on the watch.
Some how most of my watches run slightly fast, so it would sleep vertically with crown down (Crown up to loose at a faster rate.) -to slow it down a bit. But if a watch is running slow, it would sleep horizontally with face up. This kind of self regulation does work, but naturally if the watch is not keeping good time this exercise is pointless. In service pouch face down or up - I don’t try to set it any particular way other than flat.

Crown up or face up on my desk. Don't put it on my nightstand because I have a history of knocking things off it when I'm asleep.

At the moment it gets popped in a drawer whilst we aren’t in the master bedroom - no chance of being knocked onto the floor then. Usually I have a small, soft pad on my shelf for it though.

50 years ago when my sub was new I never took it off. It was my only possession. While in Vietnam, during Darkness, in case of Mortar attack or Assault on the wire. It was on my wrist. Just grab my weapon and head to the Bunker. Later, I stopped wearing it at night because while I was shaving each mourning, I would see a nice impression of the bezel on my face in the mirror. Currently, I place my GMT in a winder. I noticed if you don't place a cloth or something between the case and Bracelet you add small scratches on the case back. The winder solves this.
