I did get bored with it after about 3 months - flipped it long time ago. If you buy it keep it longer than the honeymoon period because during that time ANY watch looks awesome. LOL

If its your only Rolex then defintely its not the watch to get. If you have several than its fine.

I’ve owned mine since 2011 and it is my one and only daily wearer. I’m still not sick of it! I love it as much as the day I got it.

I have worn mine with every color of clothing possible Sometimes to me the face even has an appearance to black. I wore it yesterday and actually had 3 people tell me nice watch. When we went to the AD it was busy with lots of people looking at Rolex. It was crazy I felt like my watch got more attention than the under stocked display cases. Where did you get ?? Uh not at any AD haha. The 3 people that commented on my watch were also not in the AD. It was very nice and sunny in Fort Worth Texas. So my watch was kicking all kinds of colors from sun reflection. If you have to get one watch only then do it. But like I said it would be nice for you to have a solid black face in your collection also with time. Post photos if you pull the trigger

Nope I got tired of all the black dials, 2 subs, a GMT, Daytona and an AP.

You will never seen one at AD unless someone is picking it up. Get on Instagram and photos of members on the site. I can tell you when I got mine it was so much better in person. I would be happy to text you some of mine if you send me your number in private message if that helps also with your decision.

Heck no. I never get tired of the green. It's a fantastic piece. I wear my other watches but the 116610LV gets the majority of wrist time.

The green sub also has a special personal meaning for me.

Buy it and enjoy it.

I understand your concerns and the hesitation as I was in the same position! I bit the bullet and went with the Hulk and it is one of my favourite watches to this day! The green always looks different depending on the reflection/lighting etc and it generally goes well with a lot more things than you'd imagine. There is a reason that is is a highly desirable watch and I would say you will never regret that purchase!

Must say it does look incredible. I'm very close to pulling the trigger. Will pop in to the AD this week and see what the waiting list situation is like.

For me, I really like the green, its a really cool watch for reasons noted in this thread (e.g. color changing in diff. lighting). My issue with the watch is that I go back and forth with it: some days I really love wearing the watch, others I can't wait to switch it out, because at the end of the day, its a really green watch. I don't have this problem with my other two watches (bluesy and Navitimer), I don't like the fact that i am bi polar with the Hulk. given that, if the value continues to rise I'd be tempted to sell it for another piece or two.

Opposite for me, the longer I own the LVc which is more than 5 years it has become my favorite for daily wear. In fact most of my other watches are in mint condition because they hardly get worn.

Like everyone said, you won’t get tired of it unless it’s your one and only. But it’s funny because I have the black sub and sometimes I get tired of the black. In a perfect world I would have both black and green to switch back and forth but I had to play it safe and go for the black.

Same here. I love the Hulk. It is my grail watch.Future value doesn't obsess me , I like watches. But if it goes insane I will consider trading it for something PM with a minimal cost to change. It likely won't happen but never say never.

Thanks!

You may get bored with black. Or green. Get what you like and want. Both lv and ln are liquid, can always swap out if needed.

I wanted a SubC prior to getting my GMT Master.. oddly enough, the Hulk has grown on me and after seeing one in person it is hands down the one choice over the black Sub. I hope to get one soon... like everyone else on list for one it may be a while which is fine by me.

No. But then again, green is my favorite color, so I might be the wrong person to answer this question.

Loved the dial but ended up hating the bezel colour so got rid of it.

Good luck on your hunt. If not try online. David sw has some, bobs had a few the other day and some members on the forum
Had some as well. My AD told me they could get me a Batman before the hulk for some reason.

Well, black is the safe choice in a Submariner and my first Sub was just that. However, with the LVc you are getting many shades from bright emerald green in the sunlight to nearly black in the shade. I often sneak glances of my LVc to see how it looks in different lighting. In real life the green is more subdued except in the brightest light. To me it's a unique special watch that I plan to keep. Wonderful especially in the warmer months. Good luck. Cheers!

Going on 5+ years and my LVc still feels fresh as the first day.

Tried it at the AD two and a half years ago. Waiting was a few weeks, no previous purchase history necessary. I had to see it in the flesh because it looked amazing in so many pictures.

My problem when I saw it was the ever-changing green sunburst dial : it can be so bright and I live in a sunny country. I just didn't like it when it turned so green, but found it interesting in the darker emerald and in the almost black shade.

Had it been a permanent dark rich green I would have pulled the trigger in spite of the supercase. I just can't live with the bright metallic green of the three shades. Nine months later I went for the black dial eventually, in the form of the SD43.

I haven't completely given up on the idea of a green Sub and I look forward to Rolex releasing a revamped version.

Love mine. Only reason I moved it was so I could get a full YG Blue dial Sub.
