For me, yes.

My 116500 got zero wrist time after I got the 116655, a PM on Oysterflex. Just love the overall feel of a PM watch on a strap as comfortable as the OF.

I would. I prefer the dial and the OF.

I'd probably make the swap.

Personally, I'm waiting for Basel before I make a decision on the Daytona. I want to see if the 509 gets a Cerachrom bezel. I'm undecided between the steel dial 519 and blue dial 509.

Great collection. I would do the trade. Either way you win if you trade or not. No trade you have a great collection. Trade and you have a better collection in my opinion

Id keep the current one. To me the PM price is not justified on a rubber strap. Both nice looking dials though. Good Luck. Tim

Should I trade my white 500C to 519LN

I would keep the 500c. Your collection is better balanced with the white dial the 500 brings.

Only having read your post, I’m guessing most vehemently denounce such an action citing future values, limited supply, etc. I say, get the one that speaks to you most. For me, that’s the 519 by far.

the common logic is PM is easy to get because it's PM. Its not until you try to get one that you realize its as scarce as something like a BLNR or a Hulk IMO. Obviously the SS Daytona is normally harder to get, but my AD has a steady stream of those coming in so if they know you its actually more possible. The WG daytona they have no idea when one comes.

Yes, given you have other SS I would def go for the WG. The D500 makes for an excellent sole SS.

I like both Daytona's and it would come down to the deal. If you have your SS Daytona-C at msrp you could profit considerably by actualizing the 5-7k profit to offset the WG Daytona. If you could get the WG Daytona for a significant discount or slightly pre-owned then it might be worth it.

I’ll second this. Got my 519 in February; just spoke with my AD yesterday and they’ve yet to receive another 519. Said they receive around 5 500s per year comparatively speaking.

The first time I saw the 519 in the flesh was the time I bought it. Haven’t seen another in the flesh aside from mine. I’ve walked passed a half dozen or so people wearing the 500 on the street.

yep... im not saying its more in demand at all as this one really is a supply issue. Premiums in the UK are small for a WG OF daytona vs the SS daytona so more people want the SS one. My AD has gotten one WG since launch and gets at least one ss daytona a month or there about. So if you have an AD connection it doesnt matter much for the WG as they cant sell you what they don't get, but it helps for the SS version.

Its by far the hardest watch i have personally tried to source and that includes a 5711

I'd keep the 500, buy an OF strap and see if you like the feel of it.

At least from my experience in Switzerland, the 500 is at least a year's wait. 519 is one call away. In 2 weeks you can have it..

distribution is really, really random on the WG OF and that is what i was getting at. 500 is a steady AD stream at most places. All things being equal as in my case i can get the 500 but not the 519 from my AD. When they get a 519 ill get the call, but when it comes is anyones guess.

For example, if you are really #1 on an AD WL, you will get the 500 before the 519 most of the time.

I would do that trade. Use the profit in the SS to get into a PM model relatively cheaply. As you have other nice watches, I think it’s a good idea.

116519 all the way. I own the 116500 and it is dope, but all around the WG appeals to me so much more

1000%

WG’s dial works much more cohesively than the white 500.

I absolutely love the 519...the good thing is that you can have both in a collection if it came down to it :)
But yeah, if you can't have both, I would do the trade. The dial on the 519 is just more unique and to me better looking in general.
