Not least as I believe that you would be overpaying for the serviced model, but at this price difference I would advocate taking a new piece and enjoying the experience of doing so.

It disappeared from Watchfinder at the exact same time. So it seems to be possible, but there also seemed to be a glitch when someone did it. Bought and registered in April 2017... here is the re-registration email from whoever later bought it in march 2018....

Buy new and have peace of mind that you have a 5 year warranty - thats what I did and no regrets!
