For me, the BLRO.

However for you, if that vintage watch has a lot of personal history and sentimental value then YMMV.

Both for different reasons. Can't pick one over the other, sorry

Tough call as the BLRO is certainly a very nice piece...even on a Jubilee.
Being a vintage guy I’d have to opt for a NOS condition 16750 like this full set from 1985 that I wouldn’t trade for it’s newer cousin.

For history and aesthetics? The original. But for practical purposes I tend to buy newer watches versus vintage due to concerns about long-term serviceability and etc....

Yeah, that's a beauty, I've had 2 vintage pieces I have let go and shoot myself for it now, but the new ss BLRO is really fantastic and is my main baby right now. My sub is a 5 digit date and I love that too. My point is that it's two entirely different things. I love both

If I could only have 1 it’d be vintage because of the ability to change inserts. Since I have 16700 and a 16710 I’d absolutely go with the 126710BLRO. I LOVE PEPSI GMTS!!! I’m on 4 or 5 lists for the new one. I’ll wait patiently for the call.

Both watches are awesome and IMO they each represent the ERA of their times.

IMHO if I had to pick which I preferred the look of more then it would be the updated BLRO. To me it just looks refreshed. I love the ceramic bezel and larger case.

I like the BLRO. New materials, incredible timekeeping, 5 year warranty, 10 year service intervals.

I have the original with both bracelets and 3 bezels. It’s fantastic. So is the new one as I love the new jubilee and it’s more jewellery like appearance. If I can ever get one at a reasonable price, I will.

Given I own it, I’ll go for the 5 digit but I’d happily have both and believe they can co exist.

5-digit (vintage): like your grandmother;
6-digit (modern): like your GF or wife;
You can love both but behave in a different way. You would like to get along with your GF or wife everyday, but you want to see your GM once in a month or year.
