The thread is asking for people to post jewellery they wear with their watch. Thats the explanation for posting.

You weren't asked to give an opinion, neither by the OP or the guy wearing his fathers bracelet.

not directly, but a post on a public forum is subject to the views and opinions of others. That is the purpose of a public forum. If you post a picture you want and expect others to comment on it. It is understood that an individual's comment is based on his or her personal opinion.

Do we need sidekicks after a Rolex? Rolex is too flashy alone :)

I dont like any bracelets banging against the SS of my watch so all my bracelets sit on my left wrist (watch is on the right). I always have my Juste Un Clou, sometimes layered with other pieces. This is today, back of a cab.

Nice! It's definitely a cool bracelet and I feel like often overlooked / overshadowed by the love collection.

Guys of the forum - how many own a signet ring?

yeah i just wear my gold wedding band. Every now and then i'll wear my gold class college ring. But only during the NCAA tournament, some other big sporting event they are in, or if i go back there for any reason. I recently got an Explorer. When i wear my gold wedding band with my tt DJ, it looks good. But when i wear the explorer, i think the gold doesn't look good neear the SS explorer.

Watch and wedding ring. I'll wear a Masonic ring on my right had but only at Lodge functions. Not into bracelets or necklaces.

Watch and wedding band only, with cuff links when wearing French cuffs.
I like the look of some of these woven sailor bracelets with watches, but I’m just worried they would scuff my watch.

watch and ring, usually some sort of blank signet or skull ring. I am custom jeweler tho, so its sort of like advertising.

This is everything that's wrong with people nowadays.

OP posted a picture of his bracelet with a little bit of self-deprecating humor about his skin color. Then a rude comment about it looking girly. Instead of an apology, we get a ridiculous attempt to justify why everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Fuck that. The comment as rude, insensitive and impolite. No fucking justification. apolgize whoever said it. Or, that dickhead should be banned from here,

I love Omega, Hermès, StingHD and David Yurman bracelets. I also have a few DY rings both gold and silver. Cool stuff. I never wear a bracelet next to a watch.

I wear a watch on my left hand and nothing else on that hand as I don't want anything scratching my watch. On my right hand I wear a few gold bracelets, I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Like Prince Charles, only a signet ring, watch, wedding band (pre-divorce) and cufflinks!

Cheers,

I was always scared to wear any type of bracelets next to my watch, too worried that it would get scratched up.

So here's the story on this ring.

My father passed away accidently recently and being the only son (I also have a sister) my mother passed along any and all of his belongings she felt we'd like to have. The most sentimental of which for me was his 1962 Gibson guitar. She also gave me this ring. I don't ever recall my father wearing this thing so I was surprised to see it. I wasn't even aware of it's existence.

About all we know about it is my father inherited it from his father -my grandfather. The initials on the front are "GD." Giuseppe D (my surname) This is all we know of it's provenance. The strange thing is it's size. It fits my pinky only. There is no possible way this was a man's ring. The rest of the story is this.

Giuseppe was born and raised in Sicily. He'd started his family there, immigrated to the US, established himself and went back for his family. Upon settling here in Minnesota, he had several more children one of which was my father.

Pure speculation now; this ring was made for him somewhere in Sicily when he was a young boy. Remember, this thing wouldn't fit an adult man's ring finger. The timeline for that put it in early 1900's. But they were simple people. A gold ring is an extravagance they wouldn't have had money for. The other thought was he also wore it as a pinky ring but my mother never saw it on him. Not once.

We spoke to his one remaining child -My fathers sister, my Aunt- and she vaguely remembers it but she's certain it came from Termini Imerese where Giuseppe was born and raised.

To the naked eye it's in remarkably good condition. These photos were taken with a Macro lens. And we all know how dangerous THAT practice is.

I wear those braided leather bracelets but not on the same hand as it may scratch the watch
