If it were me, I would get the best deal possible on the gold one, call it a day, and be very, very happy. It is gorgeous.

Agreed. If you want both watches and can get a sweet discount on the PM, go for it. That anniversary dial is sweeeeeet.

OP, I get it.
I bought my wife a very nice PM which in turn got me an SS BLRO.
I got 20% off the PM and retail on the BLRO.
I was happy.
Wife was happy.
Like you, we wanted to get her that watch anyway.

You will have two beautiful watches. Congrats!

Well...let's see. If you went gray for both, you could probably get the gold GMT for about 26-27kk and the BLRO for around 17-18, so around 44-45k. If you take the AD's offer, MSRP for both is 42.5k. And then whatever tax is.

So, it's not a bad deal at all if you really want both pieces. Great, actually, when you consider buying from an AD with your name on the card.

If you're really just after the steel version, though, I don't think it would be worth it.

EDIT: Looks like you picked up the 116718...fantastic watch! Huge congrats, my friend!

Thank you. You my friend are great with math. It’s even better with a discount and shipped to home in another state with no tax.

You crushed it. Both of those references are extremely exclusive and you can never, ever go wrong with YG!

Well okay then...even better!! Spectacular watch and deal!

Although...the words 'great with math' are not normally used in the same sentence as me.

Great watch and good idea. When I buy another pm it will be from an AD so I can have all the info match my name etc. you got a great watch and you get the Pepsi retail ! When your spending 30k plus for a watch why not buy it from an ad spend a little more and get that piece of mind. Plus buying watches like that your ad will not forget you. We have some new Rolex Coming our in March. I bet you don’t have a problem getting some of those also. You made the right choice 100 percent

IMO, the green dial YG GMT is 3 times more awesome than the Pepsi. Such a beautiful piece! I would have forgotten the Pepsi but to each his own.

Hey, all I can say is...Congratulations! If I was in the same position, and they were both watches I liked, and I could afford it, I would be doing exactly the same thing! There was a guy buying that same GMT when I was at my AD the other day, and it really is stunning!

It will be interesting to see which one gets the most wear now! Sometimes, the one that is least expected.....

Cheers,
Carl

As much as I want a Pepsi, looking at this PM GMT with green dial makes me realise it looks so much better. And I'm not even a huge fan of sports PM watches. This green and yellow gold combo looks amazing. I'm not sure I'd wear a Pepsi after this. Congrats for such an excellent choice.

I'll be honest if I was in the market for PM GMT and Pepsi I'd just get WG Pepsi with blue dial (and use that to get a Daytona or SkyD), but that's just me. All that matters is that you like and want both watches.

Tim Allen was sporting that model on Jay Leno’s Garage show last season. It’s a stunner and I kind of think the BLRO is too.
