For anyone with a wrist smaller than 7 inches, the DD 36 is the obvious choice without question. A 40 would look silly.
The DD is not a watch to oversize. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk

At that point it's not about choosing a watch, but more about making some kind of extreme fashion statement with over-the-top sizing and bling. Sent from my SM-J327P using Tapatalk

I prefer the 41 in WG and the 40 in YG.
I had a WG 40 but traded it for a WG DD2 and glad I did. |

At a 6" wrist I would strongly lean towards the 36mm.
I'd be torn if I was ready to buy one. I love the DD40 for the deconstructed roman numerals. The RG Olive dial is one the most beautiful DDs I have ever seen. On the flip side, the 36 is such a classic. See below...Man, I miss Gandolfini :( |

For your wrist DD36 all day! For my 7” wrist love the DD40! Had a DJ36 that I couldn’t keep because I kept seeing it small on my wrist and even my ex wife said it was too small. Should got rid of her when I got rid of the DJ36. Would’ve save me a lot of money!! But that’s another story LMAO!!

I can only dream of a DD at the moment, but when I've tried them on 36 was the right size for my 6.5in wrist

I tried a yg 36mm w/ a champagne dial and diamond markers. My wrist is still mad at me for taking it off.

Might just be preference but I like that unlock crown up a bit higher like moving two links from 6pm side to the 12 pm side. |

I’m not sure wrist size even matters for the most part. They are all great but there is just something about the proportions of the 36 that the DD40 and the DDII just can’t match. It’s a classic for a reason.

Interesting thread considering the 36mm is still most favored. I don't know how I missed this!!!

Photos are extremely deceiving when it comes to watch size. The Soprano photo carry’s no water. My Daytona in photos looks like a 42+ mm watch.
Unless you have very small wrists, 40mm every time. My wife wears a 36 mm and it looks great on her. I couldn’t pull off 36 mm. Too small |

Nope, it’s a pretty accurate representation - assuming his wrist is in the 7” - 7.5” range. Mine is 7.2”. The idea that a watch head needs to cover the whole wrist to be properly sized is a recent and odd notion. |

My wrist is 7.5". I tried the 36 and 40; the 40 was a much better fit and look for me.

To me DD36 is the “classic” DD. However, once on the wrist, it seems small. DD40 is the solution and the one I went for. DDII-41 is oddly proportioned. Never liked it. Some believe it is more collectible due to being discontinued .

Voted 36mm because I own one, 40 mm would also be okay for me.
