You can not unless you are a Rolex addict/expert/jeweler
Today due to the Corona virus I see some SS models with Blue dial
for sale $17,000 ..that’s $2000 down from 4 months ago.

The pandemic for the first time sees Rolex closing for 10 days at first
I think longer as the Swiss virus cases hit the roof.
Good thing is (if there is anything good about it) prices are going down

I've been saying stick WG Sky-Dwellers will become collectible for a while. Only made in 2017 if I'm not mistaken. Killer choice

Huge congratulations

If you can’t it in SS, that’s the way to go. Well done.

Please OP, can you post more pics. There is nothing more beautiful than Rolex proprietary white gold. The deep buttery hue of white and yellow cannot be replicated. I have a white gold Submariner and Cannot believe how stunning the material is in different light. Especially low light where it’s hard to tell if it’s white or yellow gold.

You definitely got a stunner on your wrist. Congratulations on the purchase. Here is my annual calendar Rolex (pretty darn cool to say):

@jps3b
I also chose this over a daydate, same dial. Best version of the dial in my opinion and my favorite watch.

Does anyone have a picture of the card of the All White Gold Skydweller with blue face? I can’t seem to find one. My friend swears all of these are dial swaps and not from factory.

My friend and I were just discussing this very matter. I'm curious to see. I'd also love to see a WG and a SS next to each other. OP congrats on the beautiful watch btw.

Which ADs still have WG sky dwellers? I’ve called around almost all the ADs in the US and none have them. One in NY had it recently but was sold pretty quickly.

The more I look at it I’m glad I did it and thank you! I’m enjoying this SkyD a lot!
a beautiful timepiece; enjoy and wear in good health.

Please see below, this one was on a leather strap. Definitely was from the factory with a blue stick dial, very rare to say the least.

Other than the metal (steel vs WG) is there anything distinct that differentiates the two watches? The PM piece looks identical to the SS piece.

That’s awesome. Now what about full gold like the OP? My friend doesn’t believe me even though OP posted pix of the actual watch. Lol

Fully White Gold Skydweller Blue Dial

Not dial swaps. I personally saw one in a showcase at an AD when they were first released. My understanding they weren’t common. Possibly had to be ordered that way.

The watch was on a bracelet and I specifically recall seeing it and having a discussion with the rep about the price etc.

Nope! Just the metal on the watch and bracelet if you get it. The movement is insanely robust. Best movement I’ve ever experienced. Puts the user first.

See below thread:

And Master Catalog page (Credit Alpino):

If your friend doesn't believe that or the master catalog page, then not sure what to tell you

Really sweet PM piece! Man I wish Rolex added a moonphase in this model. Love me the moon phase complication.

Not too sure about the moonphase. The SkyD is one of the rare few watches which can pull off sport / dress watch and has the right dial and complications.

The white gold stick models are insanely rare, released only for 1 year. I have a white-gold black face older arabic numeral version which I love and is my daily wearer.

I will hold its value and reward the owner. If you are trying to impress people get breast implants, a hairpiece or stick a banana in your pants because no one is going to know what you've got on your wrist. I have a WG Daytona and I love it. WG is special in the same way playing forged vs cast golf clubs are. It's the feel, and the finish and who really gives a shit if anyone else notices. If they do ....great for them ....you already know!

So wait....and AD and a Rolex Rep can send a non selling watch back to Rolex to have the dial swapped to a more popular color? I guess they will also update the warranty card and serial number info?

Had the chance to try on a YG Skydweller the other day...good lord...that thing is huge and heavy, to much for my smallish wrist! Great watch though, and congrats to the OP for picking it up!
