People will still line up to buy it. Just like with previous price increases. I actually think Rolex can do this more liberally now as it grows it's Tudor brand underneath it.

Rare to have a price rise close to Baselworld.

Rolex might raise it’s prices but as consumers we create 30 to 110 percent increases I wouldn’t worry about Rolex raising it’s price it will not be as bad as our demand for these watches.

I remember when I'd need to buy before Valentine's day because price increases always came in February around that time.
But those were also the days you could guess the discount based upon the metal. SS, TT or solid gold. |

It’s very likely. Rolex really hasn’t increased prices much if at all in the U.S. in the past 5 years. Sure they have bumped up the prices of some new models (steel BLRO, CHNR) but not the older ones.

Just got back from shopping for a DJ for my wife, from the same AD I bout my GMT LN a couple of months ago. His question when we said we need to think about it: “why would you wait? Just so you can pay the higher price next month?” He said they aren’t allowed to discount any of the SS models, even the DJ. Told him I’d take it now if he bundled a BLRO or BLNR, but he said the wait would be several years. Didn’t sit well...

Are ADs holding stock in hopes of price increase?

A price increase isn't going to do jack sh!t to fix the shortage unless Rolex increases supply. A price increase (without supply increase) will only help the grey dealers.

I can see a 10% price increase across the board. Pretty soon I'll just move on to Patek or AP since Rolex is trying to price themselves into that bracket. If I'm going to be spending haute horology money I mind as well buy haute horology and not a mid level mass produced watch.

I don’t know that Rolex is in the Patek category. Why would Rolex care if Patek or AP raises their prices? Rolex is still going to be the most affordable of the 3 regardless of quality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The probability = 100%
The timing is anyone’s guess. Not likely before the Basel show, so I’d say 99% chance the next increase will be after the show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I would say the odds range from the unknowable to the unknowable. Just a hunch.
