Yes it has thinner hands. But this one also has an off-white dial, if someone like that.

I'd keep the BLNR. Good luck!

I’d go Daytona, and the Y serial has the potential to turn cream I believe which would be a big score

Well, it is less "iconic" than the Zenith-Daytona and less sporty than the 116500.
Personally I dislike it because I find it too "shiny" (both the bezel and the sub-dials). On the other hand, the GMT BLNR is one of my favorite current production models, so that makes me biased against doing that deal. |

Lack of box n papers makes it a harder deal IMO....especially if down the road you wish to trade/sell the Daytona on. BLNR is such a nice piece, I would give the deal a pass. But I'm also one of the few on the board that don't care for the Daytona. YMMV

More like a Grand, not $700. The chrono's always cost more to service. I had RSC service a 16523 a few years ago, it was $1100 with tax and shipping costs, and there were no unusual parts replaced, just the service and polish.

I’d much rather the Daytona, I bought a blnr 2 days ago and the watch does absolutely nothing for me compared to some of my other pieces.

The Daytona without question, but I'm bias.

do you still have the blnr? if so, looks like the daytona owner may owe you some money with the blnr prices now, given it has no papers.

On that generation, I prefer the Daytona in the Black dial so I probably won’t do the trade.
Otherwise, 100% I’ll do that deal for sure. |

I'd say keep the Batman a little longer and you will be able to trade up for pretty much anything except a steel Blue Skydweller or steel ceramic Daytona.
A trade from BLNR to a Daytona is a good move. |

I'd keep the BLNR, that watch is going up in value in an insane way last 2 days, it's better condition and full kit.
If you are dead set on the Daytona, make the trade even (no $700 extra) or walk away...as you are walking away, the other party will say 'ok...ok...' and do the trade even. |

I would do it - take advantage of the current ridiculous market on the BLNR's

Keep the BLNR 100%. And buy the Daytona anyway. What a beautiful pair that would make. Both great pieces to have with zero crossover

I wouldn’t. The BLNR is amazing and close to perfection in my eyes. The 116520 is my least favorite modern Daytona, it does nothing for me. Of course this comes down to taste.

Definitely comes down to individual preference. Opposite situation for me. In my entire collection, the BLNR would be the first to go. At first I bought it because it was novel - a blue addition to the black - but then buyers remorse set in. I don't really appreciate it at the end of the day. I have both 16520 and 116520, and I definitely prefer the latter.

BLNR Batman trade for 116520: would youbdo?
Quote:
A service would give him the next best thing to papers. Should even get a new warranty card. So imo a service is a plus all the way around. I would seek to get the cash down to about $350. Use the difference for service. Win win for both. Imo if you can swap bracelets the price on the BLNR should settle as most will want the newest movement and a jubilee to swap on their other sports model watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would make the trade since the Daytona fit my wrist better, the watch case is very comfortable to wear and the detail is more refine compare to BLNR. As for the paper, since the service is unknown, i would probably bring the watch for service at Rolex to obtain the warranty paper.
