The 16610lv is the only sub with maxi dial housed in a 5 digit case, which i think is more esthetically appealing compared to the 6 digit maxi case (not a fan of wide lug design). In my opinion its almost the perfect sub that Rolex has made in recent decade. Plus you can always swap out the green bezel with a black one for versatility. I agree with you that the premium is especially on flat 4 is insane, but who knows maybe its still a deal if you look back ten years from now.

16710
I own a Daytona 116520 and a 16710 z serial original Pepsi and love the GMT, I just don't like wearing it bc I want to keep it in mint condition. If I had to wear one it would be the GMT hands down

Get the 99% 16710 true Pepsi with 3186 movement. Instant collectors item and will be forever.
I would ditch the ceramic Sub. I think the Daytona is just more comfortable and is the pinnacle of sports watches IMH. First world problems are great!

I am not a Daytona fan, but I would ditch the sub, I hate the maxi case, it’s a beautiful design but very uncomfortable... had one for a few month ended trading it for an S.D.
As the proud owner of a 3186 Pepsi, i’ll Say go for it before they become too expensive. |

You're getting the lesser end of either these deals.
5 digits aren't vintage, so I would never pay a premium over the equivalent 6 digit price. With the Daytona you already have a very cool movement with the column wheel chronograph. Plus a much improved bracelet over the 5 digits. Too many 5 digits were made for them to be true collectables imo, so why pay a premium for them when you get more features in 6 digits. One of the craziest things imo is the hoopla for a 5 digit 3186 GMT Master when the 6 digit LN 3186 GMT Masters can be had new from AD and with 5 year warranty. Kermit too. For a mass produced watch, give me the Glidelock any day along with the much improved bracelet and the bezel that will still look new in 50 years. Hands down winner with a 6 digit there too. |

The problem is I don’t want to be off too much from the value of the Daytona so getting a pm piece seems rather difficult. I agree with the steady climb of the price in the Kermit and specific 16710. This is what is making me jump at the moment.
