Thanks for the assist, Eric!
There's been nothing forthcoming, but we've still got a day to go before we sum everything up and come to a final analysis of what's going on here.

to English text which is in contrast to the descriptions by its... current owner...eBay Seller - Yiannis of Greece ...who happens to be a TRF member here... The relevant watch has just been RE-listed again by the new owner/Seller... RARE & COLLECTIBLE ROLEX PRE EXPLORER VINTAGE WATCH!!! "Time is too Precious to be told by a cheap watch!" You are looking on a very rare, vintage and collectible, especially for its age and condition, ROLEX pre EXPLORER watch. It was in a safe-box for more than 40 years! - All the watch is signed ROLEX: case, case back, movement, dial, crown. Diameter of the watch is 37mm with the crown. Comes with a black leather band. As you can see in photos the ref.number and the serial number of the watch are clearly visible, the dial, case and case back are in mint condition. Almost like new. Imagine that this fine art piece of timekeeping is almost 50 years old! If you are a serious collector or hunter of fine vintage ROLEX watches then just Do not miss this chance! The dial is in perfect reloumed condition. - Thank you very much for your time, Please check all my listings for great watch deals! Kind Regards! http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-COLLECTIBLE...1%7C240%3A1318 This time though...he mentions that... "the Dial is in perfect reloumed condition." The Seller did NOT however...mention whether the same watch requires to be serviced...or whether the same watch has since been serviced...either or not. In this latest attempt by the Seller to RE-list the watch again... in eBay auction...Orchi is still in opinions that the watch listing is... grossly misrepresentation...of its actual n real conditions of the watch. But Orchi's thoughts aside...what are the opinions of the other TRF members in this house...? Please advise...TQ! |

At this juncture, we have given more time than Yiannis could possibly need to resolve the issues that members have had with his listings, given that Yiannis had hitherto claimed that he had the necessary evidence in hand.
Given Yiannis' failure to take the opportunity to clear his name, I cannot find Orchi's reservations about Yiannis' integrity as a seller to be unreasonable.

About the DRSD: when I said that the watch was inspected from RSC I mean that I took the watch there, I asked from technicians to tell me their opinion, they checked it for about 5 minutes and they said that looks all ok. If I wanted a written opinion-inspection of the watch I had to wait more than a month to be servised or whatever to take also the RSC paper. But I was needed the money sooner and I couldn't wait so long to leave the watch in RSC for more than a month... So the watch sold.
As about the listing for the "pre Explorer": yes, this is the pre Explorer model as is the 6238 the pre Daytona about Daytonas... And yes Orchi, the watch is serviced and please stop trying to find a single word in my listings that is wrong or misrepresenting the item, or judje others like the 2 old guys do in the "muppet show", as if I will spend more time on you be sure that I will find you wrong too in many ways, maybe in your life and your family also... I wonder about all these persons tried all these days here in this thread who said the worst about me without even knowing me, what are they really do in their lifes, if they ever made a mistake by a misrepresentation on a matter in their lifes, if they ever heart or lied to their kids, family, friends, customers, or whoever, not only by mistake or accident but because they did it on purpose, just because they wanted to hide the truth from others.... Dont judje not to be judjed my friends... first take a look at your life, and how perfect you are, I dont think you are so, You are not the perfect one or the virgin Mary... I think I'm clear as I think that I am not perfect too... Thank you very much for your time... |

Yiannis, you were given seven days to take the opportunity to clear your name. You did not take that opportunity. That's strike one.
You say that the Rolex technicians said that the DRSD is OK. Orchi compared your photo to one on the Double Red Sea Dweller site and showed that your dial was incorrect. You related a conversation while Orchi showed us proof. We have much more reason to believe Orchi than we have to believe you. Strike two. With regards to your pre-Explorer, you wrote: Quote:
In summary, we have three very good reasons to conclude that we cannot believe what you say. Forget all the rubbish about Muppets or the Virgin Mary, you have just demonstrated that we cannot believe your description of the items that you sell. I will be discussing your case with the moderation team to see if you will be allowed to continue posting on this forum. Given the strength of evidence against you, we cannot put our members at risk. Please do not post any items for sale on this forum. Apart from our decision on banning, this case is now closed.
