Great question. I was actually on the hunt for an Explorer I the day I came across this beauty. The dial is less busy. The white is just brighter. It's as comfortable as the OP 39. It's like reading a "Big Pilot" from a distance. And dang, at $3k you can't beat the price with a stick. We should all have two.
