126711CHNR Made My Day :-)

Birthday had just passed in March and wanted to commemorate with my first new Rolex (I own 1 Presidential Datejust (my father's watch RIP), an Oyster Perpetual (PreOwned), and Datejust (PreOwned). Started searching through various models like the Air King and Blue faced Steel Datejust with white gold fluted bezel.

Walked in to Tourneau one day and was presented with the all Everrose GMT II Root Beer and instantly fell in love with the model. After some research I discovered the existence of the TT and I set out to find it, since it seemed less ostentatious and more practical for day to day wear.

Well as you all probably know, the model is highly sought after and finding it began to be a bit of a challenge. Searched in NYC for day at various ADs ( I live in the Area) no go. Searched in Miami while on vacation, Nope. And finally at the point where I was going to wave the white flag and concede ,I called on last AD close to my home and asked.

AD said "You must have done something good because today is you lucky day." I instantly started to laugh stating that I was about to call off the the search. Before AD said anything else, I knew I had it! Apparently the AD had just received one and the waiting list she had for it had already purchased other models or moved on. I picked it up yesterday and through the moon happy with the purchase.

I'm including some pics , but must mention that the pics do not do it justice. The everose blends perfectly with black and brown and really makes the watch face pop. The model has an almost varied look dependent on the lighting your in. At times, for instance, in direct sunlight the everose seems to disappear and seems like an all steel watch. So its just a wonder of a piece that has me staring at it continuously. Its the better version compared to the all everose. imho.

Here are the pics enjoy:
