Great pick. Was the black always your first choice over the white?

I just got back from picking up the watch and I am SO pleased. It's the first black dial ceramic Daytona that I've seen in real life.

As I had stated, I wasn't sure if I wanted the black or white dial and I was able to see the Rolex reps white dial and it just didn't do it for me. My AD highly suggested I go with the black dial sight unseen. He was right!

The pop of the ceramic bezel just makes this piece so much more present on the wrist. The details on the bezel can really be seen quite easily and I ha no problem reading the watch or subdials at all.

I mentioned to my AD that I've been collecting Rolex books and magazines for a while now. He tossed in the three that can be seen in the background of the second pic (Rolex Magazine #8 and two Rolex catalogs).

To further build my relationship with this AD, my brother-in-law bought my sister-in-law () a $40,000 ring a few weeks ago.

I also spoke to him about building the relationship with him and the group of people that work there along with the owner and the Rolex rep. It matters. Even though they're not "supposed" to do it, it still matters. He said he would rather sell to a client that is coming in consistently over the years than to someone off the street that he doesn't know and who could possibly flip the watch the next day.

In the end, yes, I'm very happy. Thanks all

That is super d@mn sharp. I love the white but have found myself drifting to the black recently. Nice snag. May I ask how long you had to wait?

I’m lucky I’ve got both black and white so I don’t have to decide.

That's an amazingly short wait! I guess a 40k ring added some muscle to your request. Great shot of the black dial, think I'm leaning that way too now.

Keeper for sure.

My last modern Daytona I kept and wore for 10 years. I like this one much more, so I'm thinking my daughter may get it eventually.
