Whilst not surprising, interesting to hear from many that this reference is now also on a long waitlist and not easily obtainable. Not too long ago we seem to see these on display. Definitely a good reference, get it if you like it, you won’t be disappointed

Congrats on the new Polar! This is THE watch that got me into Rolex five years ago. I've somehow yet to own it. I've worn a black Explorer II for the last 4 years and I'd really like to add the polar one day.

It looks fantastic! Wear it in good health.

I'm a week in with owning mine....and can't stop looking at it. I will take a break from whatever I am doing, kick back and admire. It's quite meditative in a way The joy and serenity this watch brings me surely adds a few weeks to my lifetime so well worth the $$$ spent. Was riding the motorcycle today and stopped for a coffee....and instead of looking at my phone (other than using the camera), I looked at this the whole time.

Most legible sports watch hands down. I enjoy my 16570 greatly. I labored over the decision between that and the current 42mm version. I’m not a small wristed person but I just felt the 40mm suited me better. I envy the solid center links, maxi dial, and chromalight.

Congrats on the explorer! Imo it's the best rolex sport watch out there. A tad big for me though.

It is big and 39/40mm is normally as big as I’d go.
I’ve had the Deepsea before and it was just too big, I love the SD43 but it’s maybe a touch too heavy. This really is as big as I’d go.

However I have a good collection so it’ll be worn in rotation with my others and it adds something different

Congratulations! It is a shame that it has come down to having to convince. A business that you are worthy of buying their product. I am glad you got what you alienated in the end. Wear it and enjoy in good health. And be sure to thank your wife!!

It is an amazing watch! And it looks great on you. My wrist is slightly smaller, but after your news and your pictures if I see one in the flesh, I’m gonna try it on.

Congrats to you and thanks for sharing the news and the terrific pictures!
