Congrats. Such a great story. Just picked up my black sub earlier this month. Now I feel how lucky I was because my sub was just sitting there at my AD.

I've been to the Walnut Creek location but never to the one in San Jose.
Thanks and you're right, I bought it from Davidson & Licht in Walnut Creek. The location in San Jose is tiny and their cases are always empty. Never once did I see any stainless or even PM sports models. They just have a bunch of ladies DJ’s and Cellinis. They only carry Rolex and Breitling there.

How did you post pics in your first post?!?!
You need at last 10 posts to posts links which is how most people post pictures (IMG link from site), however I found a tab at the bottom where you can attach a pictures locally.

congrats on getting the sub eventually. ADs these days tend to sell in demand watches to customers who are local, and are return customers. it's all about striking the first deal with them.

Nice score!!

Never thought I’d see the word “exhumed” in a new watch thread!

Congrats. Glad the AD came through for you.

The Sub is classic. Still my favorite Rolex. Like the Daytona, like the GMT (Oyster bracelet), but the Sub is my fav.

Enjoy.

I so wish that BB Bronze was now 43mm, it is absolutely gorgeous in person and I would have bought it in a second if it were 41mm or less. Great pickup on your part on both counts!
