Charles, thanks for the thread update.

I for one did not know about (1) 1.25 sized links; and (2) DD date and day issue. Information which could help others.

I think some forum members just prefer pictures of watches with their socks, sandwiches or lawn mower etc...

Hi Charles,

The screw heads all appear to have some damage.

Is this as it was received back from service or did you cause the damage removing links?

BTW - nice half link.

Someone needs to "call" and get the right screwdriver for those links

Nice Charles, how much did the link cost? They're pretty pricey from what I know.

Even though I was a bit taken aback when I saw the thread, I came to the realization I'd much rather this than read another thread about value retention and what to buy as an investment.

There are several screws that need to be replaced.

The RSC will do them whilst they are installing a new date wheel for me.

Yes they were ...

They were damaged by my local AD who is also a butcher it seems.

they are being replaced whilst my watch is at the RSC.

I am sure the RSC has the correct screwdriver.

I have spoken to my AD and told him he needs a new watchmaker.

It was a joke a Charles.

Related to the unavailability if SS sports watches.

Hi Charles, I don’t suppose you (or any other member) know how much RSC St James will charge a walk-in (i.e. me) to have marred screw heads made good or replaced?

Nicely done, Charles.

I can say with all certainty that without the 1.25 link, I would not have a DD in the stable.
