Thanks, everybody!! I've been wanting a snowflake for some time and didn't think it would happen for a long while. But as luck would have it all the planets lined up and it was meant to be.
This Tudor Sub reference is 9411 and dates to 1973. The dial and hands are in incredible condition. The hands are more yellowed than the dial, a trait I've seen with other Tudor Subs. The bezel has a few scratches and the case has had a light polish. I've learned to embrace the preloved, aged patina. The snowflake also exemplifies the variety offered by Tudor but not found with the Rolex brand. Much like the jumbo DD and chrono w/ date and rotating bezels. Steve Mulholland provided everything a buyer would want. Great communication, said what he did, did what he said, and I highly recommend him. More pics when my wife returns with the camera. dP

You're a couple of steps ahead all the time... CONGRATS!
I have been eyeing three (!) black dialled 9411:s during the last weeks... so who knows... ;-) But there are other things coming my way as well... in a couple of weeks... but not as unique perhaps... rather one of the "must have" in an R collection, I guess... and something I have been avoiding for twenty years, but an opportunity came, and I went for it... Therefore a snowflake must wait (at least for a while). A Monte Carlo, a Ranger and a Ranger II - and you are pretty much complete in your T collection ;-) I really like those snowflakes. I'm happy for you. Best, A |
