D a y t o n a! If you are bothered by the bulk of BLNR you will love the fit of Daytona.

My opinion only... The BLNR is THE first GMT-Master II to have a bicolor ceramic bezel. It remains the only GMT-Master II in stainless steel that has the bi-color bezel that comes/came on an Oyster bracelet (for the time being). It is a more unique and special model in the Rolex history books than the particular Daytona you are eyeing. I personally do not like the pre-ceramic Daytonas. They are less legible and wear smaller than the ceramic models.
Right now you have the best of what Rolex has to offer. A classic Datejust and a highly sought after (and now unique) GMT-Master II. I'd stick with what you have. |

Sell the DJ if you don't like it and keep BLNR. Daytona is most overhyped watch with no real history behind, it's known most for being worn by some celebrity. Rolex has great diver, GMT and general purpose DJ watches. You want chronograph with story and character in reasonable price then get Omega Speedy. Daytona is not worth grey market prices, and IMO not even sticker price.

My advice is you start wearing your datejust more often. It is an absolute classic, and you are missing out on one of the great watches. Who cares about desirability and value, wear what you like!

I'll echo what's been said by the others. No way, but I love the GMT (have a couple) and am not a big fan of the Daytona. I would consider it more if it were a ceramic model but being all SS, I would pass. I also agree, the BLNR on oyster is a much more special model than the Daytona you're referring to.

Well it seems as though you guys have bought me back down to planet earth, I'm definitely going to reconsider.
It's quite silly that were talking almost PM prices for a steel Daytona, I think I'm going to calm down slightly, take a breath and see what my options are |

The hardest thing to do in this hobby is ... to do nothing. I think you have a good plan there. |
