It's a good deal. Only thing is you may not get to appreciate it like the stainless Daytona.

Here is the bottom line with most ADs: If they offer you a hard to get SS Professional and you decline, then it is very unlikely you will get the call again.

Most believe you build credibility by declining, its quite the opposite.
My experience was the opposite. I had requested a white dial Daytona. I declined a black SS Daytona when offered & the AD called with my white dial Daytona 2 months later. I guess it's safe to say we all have different experiences.

I would not count on having any credibility or relationship if one has to sleep on or think about an offered watch that you particularly requested.

The more you buy the better relationship you have with your AD to get the next hot SS. Go for it!

I'm really waiting for a stainless Daytona, but it's hard for me to pass this one up. I'm going to sleep on it
I wouldn't (and didn't) buy it when offered. Exact same situation. It's not the watch I really want, but it's so, so beautiful. It's tough, right? Great watch and in some regards, better than the Daytona.

Is it for you, though? Only you can say. You can't really go wrong buying it if you like it, it's that amazing in person. And as others have said, purchasing will definitely move you up the ladder.

However, keep this one thing in mind.

Certain AD's are limiting the special pieces to repeat buyers. Yes, they'll sell you all of the DJ's, OP's and even Explorers that you want, but the CHNR might fall into allotment and since they want to avoid flippers, it might impact the Daytona.

Just wanted to bring that up. I know it's something bigger AD's are doing right now.

Don’t buy a watch just to buy one. If you want the daytona waiting is the best option in my opinion.
