It is all my AD can do to keep himself in check when people come in spouting nickname after nickname at him all day long. Drives him nuts what with the huge flow of traffic at their shop (2nd largest sales in the Southwest U.S.)

So glad I am not an AD.

Why not pay the deposit with the scottish dealer? I bought my Tudor GMT through a scottish dealer paid deposit online and they even offered me the rest of the cost on 0% finance.

If you really insist on new from an AD, just be persistent and not a dick. I enquired online from a UK AD about a Daytona, and got this response. Note how he is telling me in a coded way that a TT Daytona is available

Thank you for your recent interest in purchasing a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference; m116500LN. By way of introduction, my name is ABC DEFG and I am one of the Rolex Specialists here at Blah and Blah in Manchester.

Certain Rolex models are in exceptionally high demand. Being exceedingly sought after, the stunning Cosmograph Daytona is such a model and I would be delighted to add your name to our register of interest.

In order to complete the registration process, a visit to our showroom is required in every case and it would be my pleasure to meet you. Please let me know if you would like to proceed and we can arrange a mutually suitable time and date. Alternatively, please do visit our showroom at any time, our opening hours being Monday - Saturday 10:00am - 17:30pm and Sunday 11:00am – 17:00pm.

For complete transparency, I should make you aware from the outset that our company policy is to never close our register of interest. However, I should forewarn you that this means the register could be of a substantial size. Consequently, it is not possible to provide a time scale of availability, or guarantee ever being able to obtain this particular watch for you. Due to limited number of the Cosmograph Daytona in either dial configuration made available to us, we factor in the purchase history of customers on the register prior to allocation.

You may be aware that Rolex offer an extensive range of prestigious Swiss-made, waterproof timepieces in both Classic and Professional models. If alternative Rolex models are under consideration at this time, we could also discuss and view the wider range of Rolex options. I would recommend the Yellow Rolesor Daytona as a potential alternative at this time.

I would be equally delighted to discuss your enquiry over the telephone and answer any questions you may have. In this eventuality, please kindly provide a contact number by reply. You may have seen this already, but an excellent E-Brochure on the Cosmograph Daytona is available to view and download on the Rolex website; the link to which is below:
