Many Greys prefer to have a nameless warranty card. It allows their first purchaser to enter their name. Is the serial number on the card the same as the watch?

"This warranty will be valid only if (1) the watch was sold to a consumer by the official Rolex jeweler whose name appears on the warranty card and (2) the warranty card is completely filled out by the official Rolex jeweler at the time of purchase."

Thats from the warranty handbook. My AD took a copy of my driver's license as well and I'm pretty sure they send that into Rolex or why else would they do that. That being, I would assume whoever purchased the watch would then have their name tied into the system with it.

The driver's license part is more probably to catch buyers who purchase too many watches per year with the intent to flip? Not sure, but I'm sure this whole thing is more to track down people's purchase history.

Just checked the warranty card for the Air King I purchased from a grey and they did fill out the card with my name and the date. Didn't notice when I first got the watch a few months ago I was so excited...
